Project Lifeline - Bank of America, Washington Mutual, Citigroup, Countrywide Financial and JPMorgan Chase will give people who are 90 days late or more on their payments an extra 30 days to work out a new payment plan before foreclosing.

FHASecure - Under FHA Secure, borrowers that are delinquent on their mortgages as a result of interest rate resets will now be able to refinance using an FHA-insured mortgage. www.fha.com

Interest Rate Freeze - The servicer may freeze the existing interest rate, generally for five years. The rate freeze can be put on a "fast track" if certain conditions are met.
